Sounds like one of the cell-to-cell wires broke. You have to open the case and solder it back on.

Well the first thing I would look at are the connectors, could there be any possible lost connection somewhere? Another thing is your cell may have came unsoldered from the jump, I have had this happen to me before. Obviously your system is fine, it is something in your battery. You can see if it came unsoldered by taking apart the pack, but if it was pre-assembled from factory, it is probably spot welded, most likely eliminating the possibility of it coming unsoldered. If you cant find anything wrong with the connection, try take apart the pack and look for something wrong there.
Also you might want to check and see if the on/off switch got bumped to off. If the switch is on are you getting steering??? If so its most likey wires going to your motor.

YES someone answer this, because I've had the same thing happen but look at my analysis:
I was running a 1500 maH matched nicad pack, Tekin G-12 series ESC, stock motor, peak charged and always correctly duischarged. My daughter was actually driving the truck and swooped a little too close to the curb and tagged it, not enough to bend or break anything but nonetheless a good pop. I did all the same checks and found nothing loose or amiss, dropped in a new pack and it was fine. But . . .
when I did a cell-by-cell check on the voltage, one of the cells had a reverse polarity!
That's right - I got a minus voltage on one cell unless I reversed the VOM leads, plus was minus and minus was plus. I know it wasn't that way before it was charged.
Has anyone gotten this and know of its cause?
PS another thing to check is the brushes, are your brushes getting worn short and lost connection?

Cell reversal can happen if the pack voltage is taken down too low - when a cell hits 0v, it can become unstable, and by the nature of a cells construction, switch polarity.

Yes we know that but this pack was only half down . . .
