I am just now getting into R/C ELECTRICS and when I read the threads most of the time I don't have a clue about what ya'll are talking about. I don't have the extra bucks to learn by just buying a motor and hoping that it does what I want it to do. I've subscribed to R/C BOAT MODELERS MAGAZINE and am slowly learning the terminology and some of the principales of which type of hull is used for different applications. I bought a MISS BUDWEISER HYDROPLANE thru Horizon Hobbies(hell of a boat to start out with as long as you remember to take the left hand turns rather slowly!!) Any suggestions for good plain english books that cover electric racing boat basics would sure be helpful. Would appreciate ANY feedback along this line, THANKS IN ADVANCE, Daniel M. Hallman, A.K.A. THE LAB RAT...

You should be able to find Jay Turner's fast electric book on the Air Age/RC Boat Modeler Magazine website. It's very helpfull for the novice and expert alike; so check it out.

hey daniel.
since u bought a nitro [ im assuming ur talking about the new miss bud .thats a great boat b.t.w.] u should probably get a book on model marine engines. there's one at rcstore.com [air age's site] by i think jon finch but im not sure. anyway, that might be a valuable resource. also, what do u think of the price on the p2k2?
