hey guys.
i was looking for a nice, easy mono that i could buy and have in the water the next weekend. if i bought a fighter 550, installed a nice hop-up motor, maybe a p-94 or p2k2 if daniel or mlsmith decide not to buy one of mine, sanded down the fat plastic rudder, put on a nice octura prop, used a sc3 controller and 6 sanyo 2400 cells, would i be able to get the boat going 25 + mph? also, has anyone tried this before and would i need trim tabs or a turn fin?

A 19turn Chameleon works good in the fighter,,, this is basically a P2K with a 19turn arm & bearings,,, anything more might fry,,,

Goto www.EMYC.org and click the link fast electric racing, then look for Fighter 550 link,,, alot of good info here,,, I am new to this forum, but been around fast electric boats a couple yrs now,,, I usually hang out at www.rumrunnerracing.com forum, very good link & very popular,,,

k. thanks mikdee.
im not really sure that i wanna go for something that would only get going 19 mph or so. do u know of any hull i could get that is small enough to use a ROAR motor and 6 cells and be competetive? i was looking at the BBY& Scat CAt but it is kinda expensive.

thanks for the advice,
joe

Force 21 by www.finedesignrc.com, or Oval master by BBY,,, both are competitive in N1 mono racing class,,,
