Hey guys I have a question.

Is there any trick to making mounting holes in your trucks body?
I have a T3 and evertime I make a new body I cant get the holes right. the 2 front holes are always crooked or off center.

does anyone have a trick to get it perfect?

Thanks

You could always mark the post positions on the outside of the body before you paint the shell. That way you can use a clear shell and figure out where the holes should be.

acctually thats not a bad idea.
wont matter if its marker, your going to remove that spot anyways.

Do You have any RTV Sealant or something with the same consitacy(SP?) and put that on the body mounts then line body up on car then set body on Posts. The "RTV" will show you where to drill the holes.

Hope THis helps,
Todd

In the event that anybody has already painted the body needs to cut the holes, put a little paint on the body posts and carefully lower the body down onto the car. Use black paint or make sure you can wipe it off easily.

It also doesn't matter if you add marks to the inside of the body before you paint it as well (in case you want to remove the film {or there is none there** before you make the holes) because you will be drilling (or reaming) them out anyways :D
