Here is my first attempt using Spaz-stiz (http://www.spaz-stix.com) paint. It is easy to spray and even easier to clean up (which is great of laquer based paints).
The blue and white are fascolors. I used spaz-stix radioactive red-orange, radioactive yellow, and liquid metal on the wing.
It is difficult to take pictures of the body glowing, but take my word for it ITS BRIGHT!!
If people want some tips on taking pictures of the paint then let me know and i will post.
enjoy!

daaaayyaammmm! I usually find splashes and flames so overdone, but I love the scheme you did on yours!
It looks downright spooky in the dark. I can imagine having something like that when the drunken idiot down the street comes home and zipping past him with it. Great job!

Hey mab_man that looks very cool, the shading looks very even and smooth.
And "looks" like it's a simple paint job but is very effective even without the glow. With the glow it's just spooky.
Very nice.

Mab_man- that's just downright awesome, U did a GREAT job on that (there is supposed to be a ghost on it right??? ). Now u just need to put R/C Neon (http://www.rcneon.com) on it.

Thanks everybody!!
If you see a ghost, then yes i did hide a ghost in there!!
J/K there is no ghost. Im trying to think of ways to hide images in the paint so when viewed in the dark you get an image.
Neon is very cool but it is a lot of wires and electronics. With this one i can bash at night without the worry of the extra weight.

Mab man 20- that is awesome!
one question though: does the paint glow the color it is in the daylight? for example, if i got the red paint (the one that goes on red, not the clear one), would it glow red, or would it always b that yellow-green color no matter what color i bought? j/w, probably dont have the $$$ for that kinda paint job, so ill have to stick with my current bashed-up body for now:( .thanx.

The colors glows in whatever glow color you buy. The red glows red, the orange glows orange. In the daylight, the other colors are faded. You can fix that a bit by backing the red glow with floursecent red for example. It wont glow as bright at night but it will look pretty cool during the day.

Hey, how long does it take for you to "charge" it in the light to give the best glow?? And also, how long does the glow last for before you gotta stick it under a light again??
:D

You only need to charge it for a minute or less and it glows for about 15 minutes in complete darkness. Where it really shines is in low light (i.e. a single street light). It tends to catch a little light and it glows brightly for as long as your running your car.

Hi.
Was a black light used to take that photo? It looks like reflections of the tube in some spots on the body.
I'm just wondering, because I'm sure it would look insane under black light.

Yes a black light was used. It makes taking pictures much easier.
It glows so well that you can see a few dots of glow in the dark paint, which ended up there on accident, through the fascolors (white and blue) if you face the black light directly at the body.

Simply amazing.
I've emailed this thread to my LSH, along with a link to the vendors website.
Thanks for posting, it looks great!

about hiding things in the paint have you tried backing the glowing paint with like white or black?
mab_man20

Im not really sure what you mean by hidding things in the paint other than this example from the spaz-stix site.
About the backing colors, always back the glow-in-the-dark paints with either spaz-stix glow enhancer or a flourecent then backed with the enhancer. The flourecents allow the colors to appear brighter in the day, but wont glow as much at night (the body i painted used the enhancer).
Iconfive: Thats great to hear!! They are a great company and have a lot of cool new stuff on the horizon.

Im just curious (cant be serious about it, dont have the $$$ i would need 4 it), do these paints slowly loose their glowing power over time if driven a lot in the daytime or left in the light when not in use? I dont know, but i would think the light constantly charging it over time would start to deteriorate its glowing capacity after a while.

The paint is just like the glow in the dark stars. They dont loose their "capacity" over time.
