i think the prop is too small it has a prather 230 on it now some one told me to get a octura x465 do you think that will work

The Prather 230 is way too small for this engine or hull. It is made for a 7.5 engine, it actually should be over-revving the engine. That prop is for a 3/16" shaft which is too small for a .90, the X465 that you are talking about has a 1/4" hole in it. It will rev OK on shore, could be that you engine iss too lean or rich or your pipe is at the wrong length and that will not give you RPM's on the water either.

u could just post the pics here, that way anyone who wanted could see 'em and try to help u out. Ron's a good guy and great helper but alot of opinions can help.............. also, everyone always wants to see pics of new boats, it can give u inspirations and help out w/ the next finishing project.........just trying to be fair and diplomatic, u can ignore me if im not.

You can e-mail me at owetpaint@aol.com. I should have the 'puter on for a few hours so I will try to get back to you ASAP. The profile doesn't show my e-mail address to you probably unless you send me one.
