The Bay City R/C Blast--$23,250 in cash prizes!
The newly formed American ProfessionalR/C Racing Association is proud to announce The Bay City R/C Blast. The event will include RC car and RC boat racing and will take place July 11-15 at Veterans Memorial Park in Bay City, Michigan.
> 6 boat classes
> 5 off-road classes

Cool.... But the only thing I dont like is that the Membership is $100!!!!!

This is a legit event. I have met with the organizers. The overall winners in boat and car will be $4000 each, I believe. Plus, thousands in prize money goes to each class winner.
The membership fee of $100 isn't that bad considering what most big races cost anyway.

This sound great and I don't think $100.00 is to much look at what some of the other groups charge for membership and there not giving prize money! I think this Pro Racing is going to be a big hit

it seems as if this is a fuel powered event.. no electrics.. is this true?
if so thats preety crappy.

I believe it's all nitro off-road and gas boats.
Instead of just calling it crappy, try contacting the event organizers and letting them know that at least chewie wants electric. If enough people show interest, maybe they'll add an electric class. Right now, nitro is king.

lmao.. i was just generaly stating.. i truefully thought about attending. but.. no nitro stuff electric only.. hell even my 1/8 buggy will be electric.

This race has the largest purse of any RC race. A successful racer could pocket in the thousands.

i have a question.... how is the "grand champion" determined? i read thru the rules and race info but i don't see that covered

Points Grand Champion
JatoThai I believe that the points champion is determined by the total point accumulated for the event, if you contact the aprcra web site you can contact one of the staff they are real good at getting back to you
