i was just looking at www.brushless.owns.it and they said " The controller is the most important part of the Brushless motor "Combo". "

now.. will they include a "controller" in the Novak Brushless System?

BTW the "controller" for the brushless is kinda like a computer that does somthing.. and is not the thing u control the car with, right?

man i need more info on this..

wow!
someone looked at my site!?!?!
now how about joining the forums

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDDD7&P=7

see that orange thing on the right?
that's the "controller"
the brushless controller is the equivelant* of the ESC to brushed motor.

the novak system is a no brainer to install and get going one of the nicest packages for cars and truck that use 6or7 cells.

plus it has 6profiles with reverse(always fun when your bashing) but you can turn off the reverse for racing situations.

also you dont need a special transmitter with the novak system(but a fm radio is better then am),trust me its really easy to setup and get going it comes pre-wired out of the box!

for the gearing ratio novak recommends a 12;00 final gear ratio for stadium trucks(you can their gear ratio chart on their website under product info update)

hope this helps!

12:1 means that the motor will turn 12 times for every 1 turn of the tires

you wont find specific info on how to gear the rustler but it tells you how to gear a stadium truck, which if im not mistaken the rustler is.

now for the final gear ratio and how to calculated it..

1)go here and get your final drive ratio
http://www.traxxas.com/support/troub...otorsgears.htm
(i think its 2.72 for the rustler)

2)divide the number of teeth on your spur gear(that the big gear outside the transmission on the right side of the truck) by the pinion gear(that the gear attached to the motor)

now multiply the number you got from 1) by the number you got from 2) and you have the final drive ratio which should be very close to "12.00" in order to gear the rustler correctly for the novak brushless

dont hesitate to ask more questions
