My Novak brushless is studdering (cogging?)

I have been noticing lately that my brushless motor studders when I accelerate. Like when I come out of a turn and then accelerate quickly. I didn't think a sensored motor could have cogging problems. It becomes hard to control when this happens.

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem, will be much appreciated. I am running the BL in an evader st, but it also studdered when it was in my losi xxx.

UR speedo might be damaged. When the same thing happened to my aveox rc7 i sent it in and had to get a a new controller.
Has your controller ever themally shut off? If it over heated it might be damaged from that.

Its your radio gear glitching. Try reseting your mesh and checking all connectors for frayed wires as well as keeping you antena away from the motor and other wires.

shuddring/stuttering Brushless?????

yes mine too, it shudders and stutters at fully throttle,,,,

but this only happens when i'm on the

profiles 5 and 6 (they are suppose to be
equivalent to a stock motor)

but it doesn't stutter during the modified unlimited
profiles?

please help?

Thank you for your replies, i checked the 3 main motor wires. the blue wire had a slice in it, like it had been cut with an exacto blade, it was so thin. I think this might have caused the problem. I have some rubber coating that comes in a liquid and drys hard. Will coating the damaged wire with the rubber fix it or should I just replace the wire entirely?
Thanks again.

I doubt a slice in the wire would be the problem. I would say it is your ESC. Like LaBrother said has it ever overheated and shut its self down ?

just one more thing to look for..

the sensor wire plug that connects to the esc if you took a hard hit it could have come abit loose and causing the stuterring problems!

I have never had my esc shutdown, I keep my electronics pretty cool. They have never been hot, only slightly warm. Thanks for all the replies.
crono man: yes i think that might have been the problem, the plug was not in all the way. I can't test to be sure because my chassis broke today when I hit a pole. The impact did not hurt the rear a-arm but it instead broke the chassis in the back.

If it hasn't been suggested...use a receiver pack...it helps reduce cogging slightly...so i'm led to believe by others' experiences..

Simply put, The Novak doesn't cogg. I run it in all of my cars and have NEVER had it cogg, even when insainly overgeared. If you are experiencing cogging, send it in and have it fixed. Hopefully it is still under warranty. It could be a sign of other problems down the road that might not show up untill after the warranty expires.
