The Novak SS4300 is "comparable to a racing stock brushed motor".
I assume that Novak means a 27T motor, but last time I checked a 27T Stock Racing motor did not have an output of 175watts, but more like 110watts.
The Novak SS5800 motor that comes with the current Super Sport System is more like a 8T to 10T Modified motor, but with better efficiency and more torque at lower revs. Luckily, this motor can be tuned to a lower output with the current Super Sport brushless ESC.
Currently, I see no mention of a system with the SS4300, so it must be a seperate item only for now. I would bet that Novak comes out with a Sport system soon that includes the SS4300 instead of the SS5800, but that really defeats the purpose of brushless to be honest, except for maintenance.
Either way, no brushless motor classes for racing have been formed, so it is up to the local race track to decide to let you race, and if so, if you can compete for the winning spots.
