my car idea should be preety fast

ok here it goes . get a 1/12 scale on road such as lets say a carpetknife and buy a hacker bruhelss system the fastest one they have. and use lipo batts or li ion my carpetknife goes 75 with a 6x2 in it with five cells and i think we could get it to go faster alot faster and since we use brushelss high gearing would not be a problem and as far as bodys go the bodys have alot of down force as it is i dont think that with this set up it would be feesable to reach over 110

That was basicly my idea. Get the new T1 ( i think thats it... the new 1/12 x ray) and use 7 GP33's with highest volt you can find, 2x3, and drilled chassis with REALLY high gearing... should get past 110 easy...

And It was the TC3... sorry.. cause isnt the l3 1/12th?

they have to versions the tenth scale and the twelf scale cliff used a tenth scale and i am talking about using a carpetnife it is lighter than the exray and less moving parts and the bodys used for carpetknifes are better suited for high speeds

The 1/12 scale platform by itself is very fast with just a stock motor. Your idea of using lipo cells and a hacker setup might work, but i don't know if it will be the fastest. However, it'll probably give a lot of people a run for their money. The only thing is, if you crash, you're going to have to pick up hundreds of little pieces of chassis.

Thats not very smart, the chassis will just rip apart at high speeds. You could drill holes in the aluminum parts, but not plastic ones.

Ok now I'm stuck on the 6x2 with 5 cells.Cliff lett loaded both cars with a terdload of cells and you guys make his speeds nothing.I don't think a 1x2 could make it past 70 with 5 cells.I'm no speed expert but that seems alittle farfetched.Sure he said cops, dad and venom checked it but c'mon.what cells were they? Not li-po's obviously.Maybe 6000Ni-MH?If thats the case hook me up with some but i do not believe it.

Sure. It just would have NO torque and crazy top end (and it'd be FRYING the ESC's)
