Full-size Traxxas Monster Truck!
540-cubic inches! Blown and alcohol-injected! Traxxas announced their entry into the real world of mega-horsepower, car-crushing monster trucks with a full-size Traxxas T-Maxx. The giant T-Maxx uses only the latest state-of-the-art chassis and suspension hardware, combined with an ear-splitting 1500+ horsepower engine. The Traxxas T-Maxx will be driven by 15-year veteran pro driver John Seasock of Sudden Impact fame. The Traxxas T-Maxx isn’t a poser or an amusement park ride. It’s the real deal that will compete in pro-level USHRA Monster Jam® competition against the Gravedigger®, Maximum Destruction*, and other top contenders.
Here’s the opportunity for Traxxas T-Maxx fans to unite and cheer the full-size version of the world’s premier four-wheel drive R/C Monster Truck to victory. The USHRA’s thunderous, car-crunching monster trucks race at arenas and stadiums around the world, and many events are televised on the Speed Channel*.
See the T-Maxx debut at its first USHRA Monster Jam® event in Houston, Texas, on Jan 8th 2005! The following weekend, T-Maxx travels to New Orleans for a massive show at the LA Superdome.
Traxxas’ full-size T-Maxx is powered by a 540-cubic inch blown, alcohol-injected engine that cranks out 1500+ horsepower. The 10,000-pound T-Maxx is set on a Patrick Enterprises custom chassis. The massive T-Maxx is 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide and is equipped with 30 inches of suspension travel and 30-inch nitrogen shocks. You sure won’t find these tires at the hobby shop. They're a giant 66 inches tall by 43 inches wide!
Purchase tickets in advance for the Houston show by clicking here: http://www.ushra.com/showDetail?id=Show.2004-10-25.2825

it has remote ignition interruption so its kind radio controled.
I alway thought monster trucks had more than 30 inches of travel, trophy trucks have just as much if not more. Then again trophy trucks are not 12 feet tall with 6 foot farm equipment tires with about 400lb shaved off each tire.

Probably doesn't work with 1:1 MT's... but double wishbone double shock setup would have really got the traxxas fans going....

If you ask me, the HPI truck is the lesser of the two. It was just for show. Traxxas is sponsoring a real USHRA truck. The HPI truck was alright, but this is the real thing.

personally, I think this is long overdue, but dont get me wrong I love the idea of tuning in to moster jam on Speed and seeing this thing taking on the rest of the big boys. How long have we been asking for this? and we finally got it.... yay!

They sure spared no expense on this marketing scheme. I'm thinking they're going to be selling a LOT more T-Maxx's.
That's awesome.

Ok, this is defidently going on the wrong track. The HPI truck is for giving people rides, it has seats in the back so people get to expirience what it feels like to ride in a monster truck. It is a USHRA truck, but it has seats in the back, and it doesnt race. It gives people rides, and for those who dont believeme, im sorry you dont, real sorry.

i think the right question will be, when will it run over my local hobby shop. lol.

It looks to me as a straight copy of Maxx!! And one thing traxxas engineers should take into consideration (and what bugs me most) you dont see the low profile tires as they use on RC monsters there do you Nice one!!

Not bad, but would have been better if it looked like a Tmaxx.

Awesome. I watch Monster Jam as much as possible, now I have an even better reason to watch
Hopefully some other rc manufacturers will get in on this so we can see some go head to head. Make for some great advertisement for our hobby

Jeez? I thought this was going to be the introduction of the new T-Maxx (.21 or something). Never mind I must have been on drugs or something.

I wonder if it will be as durable as a normal T-maxx and break down all the time?
