OFNA Jammin' XR-CRT

You’re looking at the first-ever ROAR National Champion nitro monster truck—the Jammin’ Jay-designed XR-CRT. The truggy treatment includes a stretched wheelbase and longer suspension arms, and the rims are compatible with Pro-Line 40 Series rubber (but OFNA tires are included). Like the Jammin’ buggy, the CRT is a full pro-spec ride, with a full complement of graphite and CNC parts.

That's not a monster truck. That's a buggy with long arms and truck tires...aka...a truggy. Not necessarily a bad thing...but it's not a monster truck, no matter what the manufacturer claims.

That said, that is one sick ride, and I bet that one would be certifiably insane...what with the 3.1 horsepower that Picco .27 pumps out and all. If I were gonna race truggies...that might be the one.

Jay does it again. Along time ago in a galaxy far ,far away a you guy named Jay Halsey installed some 2.2" truck tires on a JRX2 and put a truck body on it and competative stadium truck racing was born. At that time though they called the JRXT a MONSTER TRUCK!!! Things just come full circle.

Is there a release date on this yet? I think the Revo will have to go away for this one.

I wonder if the released product will have a narrower wing. Funny that the product release picture has a normal one that's being chopped.

Does look good though.

All I have for a release date is in the next month or 2, but the price will be around the same as the current jammin kit.

Anyone who calls down truggies really needs a history lesson;

Late 80's

Monster Beetle, Blackfoot, Kyosho this and that, etc...... is what we raced in the Monster Truck class. Then suddenly someone converts a RC10 to a truck body and some biger tires. They start cleaning up at races, and no more regular trucks. Racing is for handling, not for a definition of something. Anyway, it wasnt long before the JRXT and RC10T were born. The Monster Truck class turned into the Stadium Truck class after awhile. We could still race everything else in run what ya brung classes, but that was it.

My point is even though the truggy was born BEFORE the TNX, maxx type trucks, they will outlast those trucks in the racing scene. Pretty soon the truggy class or UMT will be the only won that has a big turnout, and the LST's, Maxx's, etc... will go back to the gravel pits.

I am just suprised this history repeat took so long to happen. I think the old Blazer/LX buggy almost started this evolution but it lost steam. These new long armed Monster Trucks (Truggies) are redefining. It is bigger than a 1/10 stadium, bigger tires, and bigger body. Therefore, it is a Monster Truck. An Unlimited Monster Truck to be precise.

No reason to get rid of your LSP's--they rock and I bet you they will hang if not beat any trugg out there! Its 90% all driver anyway---Heck it Matt Gosch was still driving the LSP--HB would be champ! That kid can drive anything, and Im sure he will win big with the J-trug

Only problem with the conversions are the wheel adapters. Seems like the adapters would give the axles a helluva lot of leverage over the wheel bearings....just always seemed like a half-assed approach to widening the truck to me
