ya, i will also jump on that band-wagon..
but i would rather it be cheesy and functional (and last longer than one tail-first landing); than having it be bling and break the first time out (as most of the aluminum ones do).. JMO..

Ha, a Savage doing wheelies. Maybe with a 400.00 motor in it. My .25 had no power at all for wheelies, maybe the 4.6 does?

My S-25 Savage will walk a wheelie over 100 ft with stock gearing. This is after porting it following the RCCA article of course But it would do an occasional wheelie before I ported it, mostly on grass.

Absolutely, I wasted money on an alum one to have it last all of 5min, maybe. This might be fun just to use it to walk it on 2 wheels.
I keep my 4.6 on the rich side to help me keep wheels on the ground. No probs popping wheelies - matter of fact, prob is too many wheelies.

I though thats why the back bumper stuck out so far anyways, And I could get my stock ss(25) to wheely with the 2 shoe clutch(with 1.1mm spring tho).when I put the gs .25mt(3 shoe clutch) in it it would walk on snowy grass with 18/49 gearing It wouln't ride them but would pull for about 10 feet. After I used the soft springs and 10wt oil it woulnt wheely ever tho.

That thing takes away the challenge of pulling a wheelie that lasts, but doesn't flip the truck over, it takes away the need for much skill.

I wonder how durable it is, would it survive a jump off a ramp and the truck landing on it?

Yes, the 4.6 will wheelie the truck like mad. Once in a while I can get it to pull the front of my MGT off the ground. It's a strong engine for sure.
Oh...and the 25 has enough power to wheelie when tuned right. Perhaps yours was a little off, or maybe you're at higher altitude? I'm in UT, at about 4500 feet, and 95% of people with Savage 25's don't get wheelies here, but those who can tune really, really well can get them. You clutch could also be the problem. So could the suspension, and the pipe. I have seen stock Savage 25's wheelie at 4500 feet though, so for most people, who are closer to sea level, it should be fairly easy.
Oh...and as for the wheelie bar, it does look a little goofy, but I like it. It's plastic/nylon, so as others have mentioned, it won't break or bend like the crappy aluminum ones do. Great job HPI!

I'm gonna have to get one of these, and try to get it mounted to my LST. The power is almost uncontrollable (stands up onto rear bumper/flips over backwards at insanely rich settings).

I can't pull wheelies per se, but it will lift the front wheels up about 1 inch. then again, the TIRES AREN'T EVEN GLUED!!!! bwaaha ha hahaa!!! The wheelie bar looks okay, but I would almost rather learn to control my throttle articulation.
