I think that's just the retail price. Hopefully the street price will be lower!

Aluminum = bling = good. As long as you're not racing.

eh I'll stick with Carbon Fiber.. I can make it just as stiff.. for less than $99.. and there is no perma-tweak factor involved.. The chassis looks good, just dont hit anything..

I'm not a fan of Trinity, and I'd rather go with CF, but I can see how this chassis could be good. The stock 18T chassis flexes like a wet noodle, which this would fix. Another bonus I can see of this chassis is the weight it would add. Ya, weight is a good thing on these little cars. Ever seen how INSANELY planted the Mini-Infernos are? I've got a couple coworkers who race them, and they both contribute it to the extra weight it has over other minis like the RC18. You don't want too much weight obviously, but a super-light vehicle is going to feel less substantial, and less planted around a track, especially on the rougher sections. I can see this chassis helping an RC18 run better around a track. I still wouldn't buy it, but I can see the point of it, beyond bling. I wouldn't run the aluminum a-arms though...if you're gonna run an aluminum chassis, you want flexible, breakable plastic parts to absorb the energy of impacts so you don't tweak the chassis or something.

The additional weight probly isn't worth it at any price. Plus, I wonder if some of the flex provided by the stock chasis isn't a good thing as far as handling and durability go.

Actually an alloy chassis will help those of us with a mamba powered 18T. Right now almost everything on my 18T is aluminum (I don't race it) and the extra weight helps keep the car planted and this chassis will probably do the same. If it were alot less money I'd definitly get it. But like outfronframes said, I can just make my own out of either cf or alloy. Drop the price and I'll buy it.

Hey outfrontframes...dose the name Shredder-X ring any bells?
