Protoform Charger HD oval body

Latest from Protoform, http://www.pro-lineracing.com/protoform.html
As the RC oval racers continue to gain more speed with every passing year, the word "downforce" continues to be the hot-button topic. The "Dodge Boys" have designed a Charger NEXTEL CUP car that offers some very interesting shapes that are perfect for the requirements of 1/10th scale oval racing.
PROTOform is proud to release the 1/10th version - the PROTOform Charger HD. Mold designer Dale Epp has incorporated more than a few new features into this one. As with the past few oval bodies, the body is asymmetric to optimize turning left (insanely fast), and also has dual trim lines (for foam or capped tire rules). A small molded rear spoiler stiffens the rear deck, and an add-on spoiler enhances rear down-force. The roof rails are shorter to prevent interference with the rear body mounts. The rear window has dimpled markers to perfectly mount "Darkside" brand wing mounts. At the rear, there are trim lines to indicate a "stiffening strut" to prevent the right rear fender from flexing (additional fender struts are highly recommended). There are 5 small center-line indicators on the top surface of the body to aid the mounting process.
This body is designed in such a way that the whole body can be shifted for and aft on the wheelbase (approx. 3/8th of an inch) to help the overall balance for varying setups and track conditions. The body is available in crystal clear .030 lexan and has the usual protective film, window masks, spoiler mounting screws and decal sheet. The PROTOform Charger HD is ready to help you run away from the competition!
Features:
· High-downforce design
· Dual trim lines, centerline indicators, & wing mount indicators
· Dual rear spoiler design & molded in right rear fender strut
· Protective film, wing hardware, window mask & detailed decals included
Dodge Charger - High Downforce
Part #1225-21 lightweight 0.30 $26.00

It's wedge-tastic! It's just too bad there's no oval racing scene out here...

try it on the computer (with NR2003 f.x.) with 40 online players in a league, and you'll see why it's fun...

Rally cars are a big computer and the drivers don't even shift with a clutch....hows that fun??? Don't bash NASCAR in a forum about NASCAR...people might hate you
(r/c rally is fun though)

one thing... rally cars are not big computers and yes they do shift with a clutch, its a least five times harder then a lot of driving i've came across. Its a driver and a person who tells you when to turn etc try flying around a bend going around 60mpg in the snow with patches of ice. scary and hard

Neat vid^^^
I think oval, despite its simplicity is incredibly fun. What's not to like about cars rippin by as fast as possible in large numbers?....
Although the complexity and intensity of rally is also entertaining.
I'll end it off with this: I like both

I agree it is takes a lot of skill(I said they were computers.....I didn't say it didn't take skill) Plus, I was just pissed because Volumex was bashing NASCAR...everyone likes different things for different reasons.

rally drivers are probably one of the best drivers in the world. they are able to go through hard courses without even knowing the track.

You cut the entire rear out to allow the air to flow freely, which reduces drag.

the body looks awesome... but oval racing is more for those DOING it than WATCHING it... watching it is an excersise in boredom (I know I'm going to get flamed, but I'm wearing my Nomex suit LOL)... but doing it is actally VERY exciting... I had the pleasure of doing the Richard Petty Experience... and I'm telling you drigin around an oval at 165mph+ is AWESOME..... and racing RC oval cars can be just as exciting..
as far as watching racing... nothing beats Rally and European Touring cars (British, German, Austrailian) those guys really trade paint.. and there are lefts AND rights...

i'm starting to paint some NASCAR bodies (I live in NC) and I love this one. Nice to have the "current" model to do. I will keep some/sell some (not going to make much money but I enjoy doing it)
