now if they would just make the jump to 2.4ghz (or even 5.8ghz) and telemetry, then they'd be super. I would upgrade from my 3pjs for that.

How user freindly are these? When racing is it easy to change set ups in the middle of the race.

i've got the original 3pk, and i find it very user friendly, the big screen is easy to read, and i find the buttons to be all placed in good spots, if i ever got a new radio, i would just be getting a newer verson of the 3pk,

Yes, Futaba will release 2.4GHz system later this year. The 2.4GHz receiver will have no antenna!

I'm a 3pk owner and saw this in electronics - there was no reply about when.

http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...&highlight=2.4

Now there's at least a hint of when.

that was months ago and I missed it. Both FM/HRS and 2.4 mhz? That would realy be cool. Now how about feedback and some onboard sensors?

5.8 GHz....okay, you take your 5.8 with you 100' of range.... (the higher the frequency, the less range you get, the only advantage of going to a higher frequency is more speed, and the ability to shove more data through that signal)

My home cordless has a whole lot more than 100' range.

OK guys in your opinion what would you suggest with the 3PK the Spektrum HRS or the Spektrum Pro.
What advantage does one have over the other???

I thought I heard that the Spektrum HRS does not have the ability to work with the telemetry unit is this correct.

Cheers

Rolf

Mmmmmmmm.... 3PK Super... overworked credit card don't fail me now!!

With the included synthesized module on the TX, it'll work with the R203HF receivers won't it? (in HRS mode) IOW, I presume I won't have to change out all the R203HF receivers in the cars and replace them with sythesized receivers?

I saw Ryan Maifeild's 3PKS's the day after he got them, he was still trying to figure them out since he just got them but they looked pretty badass and he said he liked them so far.

yes it is, my point was only that if you want to add all that to the 3pks then you could just get a sensor, or you could wait for the 2.4ghz futaba radio to come out.

If speed and features were more important than looks in RC, we would not have an aftermarket industry.

Futaba is the only radio I will buy. Made the mistake of getting a Spektrum DX3.... lesson learned.
