EPIC "X" stock motors

Latest from www.teamtrinity.com

New from EPIC is a high RPM stock motor for use on long tracks and ovals. Also works super off-road on loose slippery tracks. More RPM than the Trinity Monster Stock. Available in a standard X version which has been submitted for ROAR approval. The XX version has the same spec as the ROAR version just with ball bearings instead of bushings. The EPIC X & XX stock motors come in just Pro versions that have been balanced, trued, zapped, hand built and tweaked by our motor engineers for the highest performance. The "X" meets all ROAR/ARCOR specs but has ball bearings instead of bushings 27 turns, 22 awg wire.

Features:
• 40 lamination “X” armature.
• 24 degree locked timing.
• Drill balanced.
• More rpm than Monster.

Are there any pics of the Arm? the Co27 is such an awesome motor with the torque and top end I am not sure how they could make a better motor. Not sure it was a good idea to put bearings in a "stock" motor though. I understand it is an outlaw motor but people may not understand that when they by them and it may cause issues with club races. It is nice to see them pushing the envelope though. I wonder when someone else will come out with a new stocker to answer the Epic dominance in this class.

You are correct, bearings are not allowed in a 27turn stock motor. But this new motor from Epic is available in 2 versions. The "X" version (part no. EP1166) has bushings. The "XX" version (part no. EP1167) has bearings.

I would have to say that the original post by Peter had some confusing information in it.

Actually, the last sentence is incorrect. It should state that the "XX" meets all ROAR/ARCOR specs but has ball bearings instead of bushings 27 turns, 22 awg wire, this is the information according to Epic's site.

I hope that helps.
