Let's see them make some hopups for it and increase availability of spare parts, then it might be able to compete with the Emaxx. I really like this truck, just no where to buy parts and little hopups.

That is the same body as the HotBodies E-Zilla, it comes with the "pre-assembled" version of it in Japan. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just weird since the HotBodies version is already sold here.

It already HAS been a matter of time...Its so DUMB, you couldve had it months in advance, only difference that its called the Hotbodies E-Zilla. I'll be willing to bet theres almost no changes and its as junky as the E-Zilla. This will never have anything on the emaxx...Sorry guys...but the relabeling is not satisfactorial.

may not have anything as far as hop-ups or parts support but vehicle vs vehicle the ezilla/esavage owns the emaxx....just try it. Mine is stock other than batts and new stock motors and it is just as fast as my buddies hvmaxx brushless emaxx on the 14 cells. More durable too....but I haven't had the diff issue a lot of ezilla guys have had either.

I hear ya...I think it could be a major downfall to call it "esavage" because in the customers eyes, that says its the same....so it leaves it to the stores and LHS's to make sure that everyone knows the difference......not the smartest move IMO but I am glad HPI is taking it under their wing from HB...could be a sign of life for the zilla.

At first glance, I thought that this thing was awesome. Then I look at an E-Zilla; I can't even tell the difference other than the decals. I mean even the paint scheme is the same. They just slapped an HPI decal on it and called it an E-Savage. I am curious to see how the HPI ESC compares to an EVX.

Is it just me or does that ESC on the E-zilla look like a rebadged Novak? Looks like the same one that Traxxas offered years ago and that was made by Novak.

Well, since the HPI publicity blurb says it's 1/10 scale and it looks IDENTICAL to the e-zilla I'd have to say it's a relabeled zilla.
I think there are going to be a lot of disapointed people when they think they're getting an electric "Savage" and end up with this.

It kind of reminds me of the '70's when Ford slapped a "sporty" body on the Pinto and called it a Mustang. Or when Coke came out with "New Coke". They both sucked and I'm afraid this will too.

I had an E-Zilla. It was a blast. It's easily every bit as good as a stock E-Maxx, if not better. I traded it away for some reason I don't understand, and now I want another one. Now that HPI has it coming out under their name, people will take it more seriously and maybe stores will stock parts for it. If people buy it, companies will notice and start to offer optional parts for it. I know I'll be buying one. I've been wanting another E-Zilla since I traded mine away...this just makes it easier to get another one! Thanks HPI!

That's not an electric Savage - it's an E-Zilla, with different stickers.

BIG disappointment.

"Hey, I just put a Rolex sticker on the box my Timex watch came in. Now it's a Rolex!"

"Maybe I'll just put a Mercedes emblem on a Saturn..." "Look everybody! I'm driving a Mercedes!"

All of you do know that HB uses HPI parts, right? Almost all of their stuff is HPI based, and a freind of mine that runs a hobby shop said that HPI owns HB. Not sure if it's true.
