Tebo wins on two wheels! Superbike Challenge celebrity race

L to R: Craig Kaplan, Jared Tebo, Joey Christensen and Gil Losi Jr.

Race-prepped Kyosho bikes ready for action with Airtronics radio gear. Looks like a blast!

We'll have a separate thread for our Superbike Challenge coverage, but for now you can enjoy the latest PR from www.kyoshoamerica.com. Thanks for supporting the race!

Multiple-time National Champion driver Jared Tebo has more accomplishments in more classes of RC racing than most current drivers, and now he has another one in yet another class - motorcycles. The Kyosho Celebrity Challenge, which is part of the 3rd Annual RC Superbike Challenge, featured Kyosho 1/8-scale Hanging-On Rider motorcycles and drivers Jared Tebo from O'Donnell Racing, Gil Losi Jr. from Team Losi, Craig Kaplan from XTM/Global Hobbies and Joey Christensen from "The Dirt." Craig Kaplan took TQ honors but it was Tebo and Christensen that started to pull away around mid-race. Kaplan faded off the pace and Losi seemed to be suffering from a weak battery pack, but the field was still quite close. Banging into each other like true superbike rivals, Tebo and Christensen traded quite a bit of paint, much to the delight of the crowd. A mistake by Christensen allowed the smooth-running Tebo to pull away for the lead and the eventual win.

I've been wanting one of those Hanging-On Riders for a while, and now I want one even more. That race must have been fun to watch.

Really?! The Kyosho motocycles are very easy to drive. In fact, I don't think any of the aforementioned guys had ever driven one before this event.

That's the thunder tiger bike you had... these are the 1/8 scale Kyosho Hang On rider bikes... these are smaller and WAY easier to drive...

I just wish they'd update the bodywork.... they've been out forever and they are STILL really popular... Steve????

2000+ RC211V, or Suzuki GSXR? you guys already have the Honda and Suzuki license....

Here's one that was modded
