BOLINK is BACK!
Looks like I'll be racing Legends again! Great to see these guys back, I still have a '91 Sport, one of my all-time favorite cars. Have a look at www.bolink.com !

they have been back for awhile...but its so awesome. I hope they bring back their cheap dragsters, it would be fun to go fast for cheap.
Would also be awesome if a legends class opened up...but we need a carpet track to re-open in my area(rumor is that Hobbytown USA in Naperville might start a track....talked to them last weekend)

I've been VERY slow on the draw with this Bolink story, sorry guys. I hope they bring it ALL back, drag stuff especially. I'd also like to see a new version of their "Sport 2000" chassis, which was designed for 190mm TC shells. If I were Bolink, I would market it as an inexpensive 2nd car and first kit for "Joe RTR" -- just transplant the electronics from your EP RTR. The electronics that are good for 18mph in an RTR touring car or 2WD truck could be good for an easy 30 in pan car (especially with a 7 cell pack). In a big, smooth parking lot, pan cars are a blast!

I can't wait to pick up a legends or digger (I was about to purchase a Digger II off of tower, and then when I finally saved up the dough for all the necessary things, poof! They were "discontinued").
I do believe I shall be going brushless as well...

Nothing special, just my SS5800 if it doesn't wish to stay in the T3 (in which case, the T3 gets a 4.5R)....

Glad to hear they're back! Hopefully they get picked up by one of the big distributors again (if they haven't already) so that hobby shops have easier access to their products. I'd love to see the Little Red Wagon make a comeback. I've seen many in pictures, but never one in person. Still, I would order one if they bring it back.

My LHS received 10 brand new Bolink Legends kits today as well as a couple of each replacement part and bodies. I can't wait for some Legends racing.

At the Chicago Hobby Expo back in '04, Bolink had a little 1/18-scale dragster in their booth. It used micro electronics and was aproximately 12 inches in length. Imagine one of those with a Mamba Brushless system and a 3-cell Li-poly pack - holly cow, that thing would be fast. Hopefully they'll finally release it. I'd buy one if they did!

I really, really, really can't wait to race Legends again. This going to be so much fun. I missing being able to show up to the track with just my car & radio, some basic tools, a simple charger and a few packs--all in one plastic bin. Legends racing rules.

What is all the hype about the Bolink Legends? What scale are they, and why were they missed so much?

1/10 scale, very light and simple ladder chassis design, direct drive , and I think they were only raced in spec classes. They had foamies too... They also didn't cost too much for the kit.
That's all I really know about them.

I just picked up one of the new legends today.I was suprised when I opened the box to find the ladder chassis was already assembled as was the diff.I generally dont care for much other than offroad but I always liked the legends class.Several of the kits were sold to fellow offroaders today.Enough to ensure us a class for them on the carpet.I got the 37 coupe body. Welcome Back Bolink !!

I remember WAY back in the day, Bolink was very competitive in on-road racing. I'm talking back when no one had even heard of the term "touring car" - the only type of electric road racing was 1/10 and 1/12 scale pan car racing. Bolink made some nice stuff and was in contention at most of the major road races.

California Flyer
I owned a Bolink they called the California Flyer which was their full optioned
Eliminator 10. The most interesting feature was a one piece aluminum rear pod. Like an idiot I sold it. Anyone have a picture of this car?
