Losi XXXNT mach motor is junk. I need a racing motor. How do you know what will fit?

Whats up.
I am having a terrible time with this rtr Mach .15 motor that came with my xxxnt Losi. i have changed the piston 2 times this month. It keeps losing compression. When it heats up it keeps stalling. In my opinion it is a piece of junk. My buddys have HPI rush, RC10GT, and even a Traxxas have lasted longer. I have no idea why I have the most trouble keeping up with them with motor life. I paid more $ then any of them.

I have decided to junk this motor. What would be a good replacement motor for the RTR xxxnt losi? I am going to Ultimate Hobbies in Orange Ca today. I really want a reliable motor that will tune fairly easy and have lots of power. Any suggestions? I think I want to stay with a .15 size. What about Picco or O.S?

When I do the motor swap can I still use the TL tuned pipe? Just by guessing I think the header on the Mach probably will not fit. So I should get a header. My price range is $100-$150.
